The band came about when Barrington assembled together a coalition of reggae like minded musicians passionate about roots and culture.

This resulted in Dubvocaliza meaning to be outspoken and articulate hitting from the base -line of Dub-reggae , drawing it's repertoire from the vaults of Jamaican music .
