Women Do South Festival - An early career, female-led extravaganza taking place at one of South London’s most exciting music venues. 17th August – 24th October at The Bread & Roses Pub. Over 8 weeks The Bread & Roses Pub will welcome back locals, gig-goers and new musos with a host of live music from South London’s freshest female-led acts. From acoustic to experimental this eclectic line-up has something for everyone.
6pm Ruby Robinson - The Jazz Diva of Our Era
Ruby is a Jazz Singer based in London - this young lady is an exceptional performer. Bringing her favourite Jazz and Swing tunes to audiences of all ages, she has performed in prestigious venues such as Cafe de Paris, The Pheasantry, The Crazy Coqs and Le QuecumBar Brasserie, and now, she is bringing that magic to The Bread & Roses! Drawing influences from the iconic divas of Jazz, Ruby is a rising talent in the UK's live music scene and should not be missed!
5pm Fox Palmer - Foxpalmer is a London based band that combines Rock, Indie and Folk to create powerful and evocative soulful music. Foxpalmer’s unique sound, stunning original music and captivating live shows has helped them receive numerous amounts of airplay as well as performing at a number of UK Festivals including Godiva and Celtic Connections Festival at Glasgow City Hall. Their brilliant debut EP ‘Locked in Memory’ attracted the attention of Indie label Screamlite Records who offered a Licensing & Distribution deal. Following the success of their first EP, Screamlite continue to back Foxpalmer on their recent release of ‘Forever’ which was released in Feburary, as well as working with them on their new EP ‘Dark Tides’.
