Women Do South Festival - An early career, female-led extravaganza taking place at one of South London’s most exciting music venues. 17th August – 24th October at The Bread & Roses Pub. Over 8 weeks The Bread & Roses Pub will welcome back locals, gig-goers and new musos with a host of live music from South London’s freshest female-led acts. From acoustic to experimental this eclectic line-up has something for everyone.

9.45pm Shayla Rose

Independent singer-songwriter, Shay La Rose, is here to put Afro-R&B on the map. Hailing from South-East London, the Nigerian performing artist is a triple threat. Her raspy vocals, poetic penmanship and rhythmic dance moves instantly captures fans of Afrobeats and R&B alike.

 When you combine her signature riffs and runs with her wholesome beauty, you have the perfect ingredients for a superstar! The South Londoner has received endorsements from industry tastemakers including MOBO Awards, BBC 1XTRA and Capital XTRA. Her previous singles, have also amassed upwards of 500,000 views online.
