Piss from a broken upstairs bog leaks through the ceiling and the coffee machine is held together with sellotape. It’s £7 for a latte. No sorry, they don’t have oat milk, grow up.

People come and go, lives continue, time drags, nothing is real but everything is uniquely painful. A skeleton called Larry has a full time residency.

PISS AND BILE is about two mates, suffering in the service industry, who both want out. So one applies for a big city job and the other discreetly does the same. Wracked with guilt, pressure and the pursuit of happiness, their friendship is put to the test.

PISS AND BILE is a hilarious play about being sad in your 20’s. It's about that fun little infamous ‘quarter-life crisis’, you know, that really funky time when nothing means anything and everything seems to be getting worse. You know - your 20s?

PISS AND BILE uses comedy to interrogate the gruelling transitional decade of your 20s and aims to normalise feelings of stasis, loss and anger. Develing into and discussing these themes is important in a post-pandemic world, particularly the impact on young people in such a pivotal period of their development.

PISS AND BILE also uniquely scrutinises the link between poor mental health and the service industry by exploring themes of stagnation.
