9.30pm - Lou Kyme - an Americana singer, songwriter and guitarist based in London, UK. Lou grew up playing music with her family’s band, the Okeh Wranglers. The band’s output was prolific, releasing six albums on London’s Fury Records and touring extensively in Europe and the US building a reputation with a unique sound and high musicianship. Twenty years after the family band disbanded, after a career in the creative industry and a life lived, Lou happened upon Chuck Prophet (Green on Red) and the Mission Express. The stars aligned, friendships formed. And after two years songwriting, Lou took a trip to San Francisco to record her debut solo album ‘What’s The Worst that Can Happen’, with Chuck, Stephie and the gang. Now promoting that album with her British band of Jim Maving, guitar, slide guitar (Dean Owens), Joe Hazell, bass (Curse of Lono) and Neil Findlay, drums (Curse of Lono) Lou is building a reputation and fantastic reviews across the UK.
8.45pm - Paula Luna - Chilean artist Paula Luna has found a home in London’s alt-rock scene after years of touring Latin America and the US, having performed at festivals like SXSW and appearing on MTV, VICE, and Rolling Stone as the front-woman of Tunacola. Her solo project merges dextrous power-pop vocals with the heavier guitar sound of indie rock bands such as Arctic Monkeys. Undaunted by taboo, her debut release showcases the emergence of an intrepid songwriting voice. Live, Paula Luna’s show is energetic and inviting - the band entices the audience to be a part of it all and sing, dance, and lose their inhibitions, while the performance’s journey also giving way to moments of collective introspection.
