Live Music: Eliyanah + Tigere

9.30pm - 'Eliyanah' is a London-based singer and songwriter who tastefully fuses the worlds of Alternative, Indie and

Electronic Pop. True to her Christian background, her Hebrew derived name is a literal translation of ‘God has answered’, an essence woven deeply into the fabric of her music.

Heralded by Earmilk as an artist that “weaves an introspective mood that resonates with anyone who has been through heartache,” Eliyanah fuses captivating, high-energy performances with melodic vocals and catchy melodies to take audiences on an emotional journey reminiscing on memories of love and loss with a soulful and spiritual twist.

With over 500,000 cumulative streams to date, the 2021 UK Songwriting Contest finalist has combined 20 years of musicianship, creativity and tradition to craft heartfelt releases with cutting honesty including the nostalgic Somebody Else, and her best-known work to date Love Burned Out.

Growing up in a musical family and the Church, she became a vital member of the congregation’s musical productions from the age of seven, and as she entered adulthood, regularly sang before crowds of over 7,000 people across the UK and Europe.

That access to the evangelical world of high-end music productions gave her a true insight into how to express your love through song, and more importantly, gave her the experience you need to get to the next level in the recording studio. Crucially, she understands the space and time needed in a song to allow its constituent parts to delve deep into your soul and to trigger emotions that are not too often found in contemporary music.

8.45pm - 'Tigere' a North London-born English-Nigerian-Irish artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer and songwriter. He creates music and sound from a wide range of styles and genres, combining a mixture of Classical training and Self Taught production techniques. He explores topics ranging from the interpersonal to the political and their intersection, for example the relationship between the climate crisis and apathy. The core focus of his work, irrespective of genre and style, is a mix of live and electronic instrumentation and their interaction.

His live set is a dynamic mixture of live looping, sampling multi-instrumental playing, singing and rapping. He has headlined at venues such as the moustache bar, the bread and roses and the stag’s head.
