For fans of Big Thief, Fontaines DC, the Cranberries and Geese - Doorsteps will leave you satisfied!
Cutting their teeth in the pubs of Brentford and later the North East of England, Doorsteps are an indie rock band that combines the contrasting roots of each member. From the thoughtful American indie folk to the angular British post punk of the 80s and 00s. These influences combine to make confessional, hooky guitar music with dual vocals, charming lines, and rhythms that swing from hush to raucous.
Louisa Rowley is an artist that blends unique, 21st century problems with the sounds of vintage blues, soul and jazz and is a new tour-de-force on the London music scene. Taking her influence from several different artists, Louisa’s sound is comparable to the likes of Stephen Sanchez and Bonnie Raitt and has previously been described as Elvis meets Amy Winehouse! She started writing music, aged 18, to help her cope with her anxiety and has since used the music to explore her mental health, late-diagnosed autism and experiences of post-adolescence.
